    FAQ

Q. Are you open every weekend?

Most. We rarely close, and if we do, it will likely be due to extreme weather situations, but thanks to Melbourne's temperate climate, this is a rarity. Call us to make sure we're open.

Q. What safety standards do you have in place?
  • We have a strict riding gear policy to ensure riders are fully protected in the unlikely event of a crash.
  • Ambulance insurance is required either as a member of the Ambulance Service or through your private health cover.
  • There is a first-aid trained person on-site.
  • We use sweep riders to watch for any incidents or dangerous behaviour.
  • We have a rescue quad and trailer.
  • The track is ambulance accesible.
Q. How do I comfortably ride with the faster riders buzzing around me?

You have to make sure other riders know of your intentions. Don't panic and make any sudden moves or line changes - stay straight and consistent. The faster riders are faster for a reason - they are very competent and will pick passing lines to safely get around you.

Q. Can you help repair my bike at the track?

Unfortunately, we don't have the facilities to repair a motorbike. The best we can do is give you a tow to try and bump-start it. We have some very basic parts available at the kiosk (like standard bolts and nuts etc.) but that's it. It's a good idea to bring a good set of tools and basic spare parts with you - other riders may assist you but are understandably protective about their tools and parts. And a quick tip - threadlock (Loctite) everything and save yourself the most common headaches.

Q. I have a pair of Alpine Star Tech 2s. Can I ride on the Experienced track??

No. The Experienced track is for riders with proper motocross boots. The Tech 2s are designed for Pee Wee and Fast 50 riders and will not provide proper protection on the large track. Also note that running shoes are not allowed on any track - they provide no protection whatsoever.

Q. Is the track available for hire?

Yes, on days that the track is not open to the public. Formal racing is not permitted.

Q. Is there any membership required? Do I have to be a member?

You don't have to be a member but memberships are available that give you discounted entry.

Q. Do you cater for ATV's (All Terrain Vehicles), Trikes and 4-wheelers?

No. We'd love to allow ATV's on the tracks but the tracks are not designed for them. Your safety is our number one priority!

Q. Can I ride to from the carpark to the track entrance?

No. New insurance rules (as of July 2010) does not permit it.
